Granada has numerous festivals going on, all throughout the year. They start in January go on until December. Holy week is definitely one of Granada’s biggest festivals. It takes place in March. Every year, more and more visitors come to Granada, to witness the spectacular processions taking place. Holy week in Granada has now officially been declared a “Holiday of interest to the tourist”. It attracts more and more tourists every year. The main events are: Processions of Christ of the Gypsies, Festival of The Expiration of Christ, and the Procession in honour of Jesus Christ (two Fridays before Good Friday in Orgiva).
