The Cartuja is a monument of Granada that is situated to the north of the city, outside of thre tourist area. It was, before its construction that was initiated in the 16th Century, an agricultural area of country houses and farms, watered by the Fuente de Ainadamar from the nearby town f Alfacar. Visit La Cartuja from Monday through Saturday, and Sunday afternoons. 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. (summer from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.), Sunday mornings from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. (summer from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.) |
